Well Hello, there...

So much has happened since my last post.... so much!!
Well there is spinning, knitting, running, weightlifting, and THE TIGERS!!!!!
Lets start with the Tigers..... last nights game was amazing!!!! Can you believe I have been to 3 games since the season began? Yesterday I got tickets from my dentist office- can you believe that? Nevermind I have a huge dental phobia... : ) thats a whole 'nother story... so hubby and I went to the game and had a great time cheering the TIGERS on to one of their few wins this year....( its just getting started...) We got to sit next to Dr. Seir and his buddy from Venezuela...who told us that gas there is 4 cents a gallon?!! But I would still rather live here in the great US and pay *gulp* 3.50 a gallon.....
Running... I ran in the Corktown races downtown for St Patricks day... ran for my sons anniversary- Andy was stillborn on March 17, 1999...so I ran for him. Had a great time-- better than my last race and also it was a mile longer! ( 4 miles!- 8:55 min mile) My next race is Mothers Day... Run like a Mother- just a 5k....
Weightlifting..I am training with a trainer again!! Ursula and she is awesome!! She is a former Figure competitor...she even said I should think about competing!! I don't think I would but I wouldn't mind looking like I did! : )
Spinning... I have been trying new things..got some silk hankies, another drop spindle and a kick spindle....its just fun to play!
Well I have to run- I have my first Bible study today....I joined a Womens Bible study at my church and am really looking forward to the fellowship!! I will have some pictures to post later.

Jeeps, snow and running

What do they have in common?? Not a lot....LOL
Last weekend we went up north to West Branch....off roading...in my Jeep....we went to a big even called Sno*Blind. The first trail run was great....we went Friday Night - Daves mom watched the girls- It started at 8 and we didn't get back til after midnight... the trails and woods were so pretty in the dark with the snow....the temp at one point dropped to -4!! Brrrr. Saturday was another story... we had a horrible trail leader and spent the day stuck behind a F-250 superduty....(who would bring a truck to a Jeep event?!) and we were not stuck it was the boat of a truck that blocked the whole trail and was stuck....ugh- after 5 hours we backed out......through the heavy snow....not fun.
Running...well I have decided on my next race....March 16th....I am going to run the St. Patricks day Parade race downtown...just a 4 mile...so I better get running! I have been lifting heavier and changing up my workout so I have not been running huge distances...so today I am going to try for 3 miles...Usually I just get so board.....I can't wait til the weather breaks and I can run outside!!
Well I want to get some spinning done...I have a busy day- I am helping a friend decorate and fill cupcakes for a party, its pizza night so I have to make the dough, and we have Maddys violin lesson today...oh yes and I have to run at least 3 miles... : )

Knit Michigan

Ok so jury duty was not that bad. I did get frustrated when I got downtown trying to park- but I didn't get picked for the jury and was home by noonish....so that was ok. I also got to see the Detroit River from a window in the courthouse and it looked really cool. A little frozen...chunks of ice...wish I would have had a camera. : )
Today was Knit Michigan. A very cool event. This was my first year there. Next year I am planning on Marathoning....: ) My mom died from cancer 9 years ago. So for me the cause was very worthwhile. I knit and donated two chemo caps which I forgot to take pictures of.... My girls went with me and they had awesome kids things- They both got to felt some soap and Maddy- got a set of knitting needles and yarn and a pattern for a small bag. I shopped a little. I got some bamboo silk, soy silk, and some merino superwash.... all in of course beautiful colors... in fact I am going to go spin some now so I will have some pictures for later!

Spinning wheels, Jury Duty and life :)

Ok so I did it. I sold my first spinning wheel. It all made sense. I was never going to use it again. I have a new one. But it was a gift from my hubby. But we had no room for it. So I decided to sell it. I now have money for hubbo's Birthday gift. So that is good. And the new wheel was also a gift from hubby...so there is still the sentimental thing....but I was a little sad...sniff...weird, huh? The piture at right is me saying goodbye....

Jury Duty. Tomorrow. 8:30 am. Downtown. UGH. I can still pray that my group is not needed....but don't want to get too hopeful. The thing is- I cannot even take my knitting. Now I am all for homeland security but come on...wooden circular needles as a weapon????? So I have a stack of magazines I have saved. The new Oxygen ( an awesome magazine) and Muscle and Fitness for Her. I will look at it as an adventure-- but I will still admit its an adventure I would rather not take. : 0

I survived

OK so I survived the weekend. It was not an ordinary weekend. No we are always BUSY. Funny thing thats the way I like it beacause if it was not busy I would have been crabby!
We finished cleaning the basement. Hubbo finished putting walls up. The drywall still has to be painted but hey its up! And we got new carpet which was a total God thing. We walked into home depot ( on Sat morning with very little time) and there it was on the carpet asile all wrapped up ready to go just the amount we needed in the colors we loved! and on clearance to boot! Gotta love that!
Sunday was the day family was coming over for my daughters birthday...and it went well... we had pizza- some bought and some homemade...and cookie cake and ice cream. : ) I have a picture of the cookie cake which I will have to post later.
The end of the day went well.... we watched bullriding...and I got to spin on my new spinning wheel....ahhhhh. : )
For my birthday I got a new spinning wheel...a Ladybug. So far I love it. Nice to spin with. Again I will post pictures later....
Well I will close for now...my MIL is still here and hubbo left for work... I am going to take her to Costco today and out to lunch before she leaves.

OK here it is...my blog. I am not sure I will have much to say but my hubby says i can write about all the cool things I do.

Today I cleaned the basement... well attempted to. Hubbo 's family is coming over in two days to celebrate my daughters birthday and well the basement is a mess. He started putting walls up where he took some down and now I have drywall dust everywhere- and yes although I cleaned I am really not sure it looks much better......

Yesterday I did get the bunnies new cages...stacking cages. They are nice and were totally worth the drive-- I drove about 40 miles out of my way....bad directions...We have two bunnies a mini rex...named Rex and an English Angora- Sweetyheart....a third cage would go nicely on top and I told Hubbo that. : )

And yes I posted some more yarn on Etsy....a nice soft black and white yarn...and also a yummy red, orange combo that is full of sparkley angelina fiber... my username there is jeepgirl.

Well I must hit the gym...took yesterday off and I am itching to run. : )
